Meet our Kids
Shalilah
Shalilah is a sweet, thoughtful young lady with a beautiful smile. She is focused, motivated to be successful and invested in her own well-being. Shalilah has a laid back personality and tends to steer clear of typical teenage drama with her peers. Although mature for her age in some areas, she can also be sensitive and responds best to positive reinforcement. Shalilah is an honor roll student and takes pride in her good grades. She names math as her favorite subject because she can see how it relates to her life everyday. Shalilah likes to read, do arts and crafts activities and cook in her free time. Her favorite foods to make include baked chicken, cakes and cookies. Shalilah admits to having a sweet tooth and loves candy and sweet treats but she is conscious not to overdo it. When she grows up, she hopes to become a doctor so that she can help children who are sick. Shalilah is a remarkably resilient young lady with a bright future. Despite all that she has endured, she remains an optimistic, cheerful person with a smile for everyone she meets. All that is missing for Shalilah is a warm, welcoming family to be by her side and help guide her into adulthood and independence. The ideal family would be patient, understanding and willing to allow Shalilah to remain in contact with her aunt who she adores.  Illustration of a Butterfly
